Jamie Campins is an ITF 6th Degree and a WTF 4th Degree. He started training as a white belt in March 1987, and is now the Aberdeenshire Taekwondo School's Senior Instructor. Jamie was brought up in the Spain, where he attended school at a private sports academy where he learned Judo as well as many other sports. At the age of 14 Jamie moved to Aberdeen where he started Taekwondo under Ian McDonald 2nd Degree. Unfortunately the school closed 3 years later, so Jamie moved to another UKTF school which had recently opened under Gordon Wallace, who had just recently been promoted to 4th Degree. Jamie left the UKTF (United Kingdom Taekwondo Federation) in 1995 to continue training under Master Peter Harkess who by now had founded the UKTC (United Kingdom Taekwondo Centres).
From 1990 to 2001 Jamie took part in numerous competitions and courses in many countries throughout the world, including: North Korea, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Holland, Spain, Germany, and Ireland. Jamie has trained under, and attended seminars with some of the most qualified and experienced coaches, instructors and masters in the world, including General Choi Hong Hi, Master Kum Ung Chol, Master Peter Harkess, Master Wim Bos, Master John Taylor and Master Derek Campbell. Jamie enjoys teaching enthusiastic students and seeing them promote to Black Belt. Since Jamie started teaching Taekwondo in 1993, he has taught hundereds of students, many of who have gone on to promote to Black Belts and succeed in International competitions. Since he retired from competing in 2001, Jamie has coached many of his students to a standard where they have been able to win many titles at both national and international level.
