SPARRING & KICKBOXING SEMINAR

Tomaz Barada (Slovenia) is a 6 time European Champion, 3 time World Champion and an undefeated World Kickboxing (WAKO) Champion. His coach throughout his successful competition career has been Master Willy van de Mortel (Netherlands). Together they will put together a fantastic series of seminars that will benefit all those who attend. The seminars will cater for all Taekwon-Do students as well as Kickboxers. The training will be extremely beneficial to both the serious competitor AND those who train purely for fun and fitness. This is a great chance to train with one of Taekwon-Do's greatest partnerships!!

2010 NORTH EAST CHALLENGE CUP

The 2010 North East Challenge Cup will be held on Sunday 19^th September, 2010 at Montrose Leisure Centre, Marine Drive, Montrose DD10 8TR. This competition is open to all ITF Scotland members, invited guests and Kickboxers. There will be four individual events contested, Patterns, Sparring Special Technique and Power. This competition is open to all students white belt and above and will be split into five age groups Juniors Under 9yrs & 9-12 yrs, Teens 13- 17yrs, Adults 18-35yrs and over 35yrs.

The competition will be run as per ITF rules but with some small amendments to accommodate age and competitor level.

		SPARRING EQUIPMENT Please note that anybody wishing to take part in sparring during either Taekwondo classes or TKD Kickboxing sessions, must wear ATS approved sparring equipment. Unfortunately there have been a number of members who have acquired sparring equipment without consulting ATS instructors, and have later found that they are unable to use it as it is not suitable for the type of sparring we do.
