Karl started training at the Ellon Taekwond School when it first opened in November 1993. Since then he has represented the school in a number of national and international competitions. In 1999 he took over the Newburgh Taekwondo School, were he has been teaching since. He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and is a qualified Assistant Instructor and first aider, and is certified by the ITF and BTC.
